Buying at Auction

Details of all our auctions are available on our website. Catalogues may be downloaded, posted as traditional hard copy, or sent by email.

All our auctions have viewing days during which you are welcome to browse the saleroom and inspect the lots on offer. Take this opportunity to examine those items you are interested in. Our auction staff are on hand to offer friendly advice. Viewing times are Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-12 noon, and during the morning of the auction.

On the day of the sale you are expected to register to bid (usually at catalogued sales only). This involves completing a form giving your name and contact details. You will then be allocated a bidding number and bidding paddle.

Having made your purchases, simply return your bidding paddle to the reception where our admin staff will take your payment.

If you are unable to attend the auction but would still like to bid, you may request a telephone bid or leave a commission bid. The latter is an instruction for the auctioneer to bid on your behalf up to a limit set by you. Commission bids may be placed by telephone or email.

Should you require us to pack and post purchases at your expense, we are happy to assist and do so in-house.
